Mac Mic Strategic Land are bringing forward proposals for up to 105 new homes on land south of Old Banwell Road, Locking, and up to 295 new homes and a shop and / or community building on land north of Banwell Road, Elborough, separated by a new country park.

The land in question constitutes a single site for planning purposes and is proposed for allocation in North Somerset Council’s new draft Local Plan. However, two essentially separate residential developments are proposed alongside significant new public open space:

• Approximately 105 homes on land to the south of Old Banwell Road, Locking, with vehicle access from Old Banwell Road only

• Approximately 295 homes on land to the north of Banwell Road, Elborough, with vehicle access from Banwell Road only

• A new country park between the two developments, creating an enhanced landscape gap between Locking and Elborough
